According to preliminary figures available, 2.15 lakh CAT vouchers for admission to prestigious IIMs and other B-schools in the country were sold as on the last and final day yesterday as compared to 2.06 lakh forms sold last year, a per a source in Prometric, which is partnering with IIMs in holding the test.
As many as 6,000 forms were sold yesterday, which was 33 per cent higher than last year.
The higher figure for CAT registration also reflected finding of a survey conducted by Graduate Management Admission Council, according to which there has been a “renewed growth” for graduate business and management education program across the world.
The annual survey, which charts year-to-year application changes at the program level, shows that specialised master’s programs in management, finance and accounting continue to show robust growth with an overall improvement in MBA program.
