The Delhi-based Central Board of Secondary Education has announced that the Board exams for Class X and Class XII will be conducted from 1st of March, 2013, across all the CBSE affiliated schools in the country. About 10 lakh students appeared for the exam last year and figure is expected to rise this year.
The CBSE has made available the time table for class X and class XII on its official website and the same also be downloaded in the pdf format from the link provided at the bottom of this article.
The CBSE has also advised its affiliated schools to conduct School Based Assessment for class X between March 16 through March 31, 2013.
For the class X students, the exam will commence on 1 March 2013 with painting being the first paper, followed by Mathematics to be conducted on 2nd March. The last paper in the subject of Home Science will be held on March 15.
Class XII students will face the examination with first paper being English Core, Elective and Functional on 1st March. Whereas for students belonging to Humanities stream will face the next paper, History on March 4, the commerce stream will face the first paper on March 6. The Mathematics paper, an important subject for Science stream will be held on March 20. Class XII exam will end on April 17.
