The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to conduct an orientation program for teachers on Financial Market Management (FMM) course. The central board is organizing a free training workshop on NLT software on September 19, 2012 in collaboration with the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The workshop will be held at the NSE office in New Delhi. The NSE is the New Delhi based stock exchange whose benchmark index, NIFTY, claims to represent a wider variety of companies and thus reflecting the Indian stock market.
This workshop can be attended by teachers of schools that are offering FMM or are planning to offer it from the next academic session. CBSE has urged affiliated school principals to depute two teachers who have either a commerce or IT background, to attend the orientation program. Schools have been given a deadline of September 5 to confirm their participation.
FMM is one of the six vocational courses offered by CBSE in Std XI & XII for students enrolled in the commerce stream. With the rapid growth of mutual funds and financial management sector, the CBSE has deemed fit to educate students in the area.
