Confusion Over Entrance Test Score For BPharm Admission

With the introduction of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for engineering and technology colleges and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to medical and paramedical courses, a new confusion has appeared that which of these two test scores be considered for BPharm Admission, given that in most states the BPharm courses are run in engineering and technology colleges.

The confusion needs to be addressed as soon as possible because, in absence of a clarification the students will not be able to make preparation to face the test / tests. There are A group students who aspire for technical stream only appear of JEE and other B group students appear only in NEET to make it to medical stream. Following this if score of any one of the tests is declared as requirement to the BPharm Admission then one of the groups will have to face two entrance tests. Actually the whole purpose of introduction of these nationwide common tests was that to reduce the burden on the students which until now had to appear for multiple entrance exams. The confusion is also there in minds of those who just want to apply for BPharm admission, that which test of the two they should prepare for.

Actually Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) in the state of Gujarat has taken the lead in resolving this confusion by seeking the clarification on the issue from the State government, which probably may help the students of the other states too.
