After the paper-pencil mode of JEE Mains which was conducted on Sunday, the online mode of exam kicked off at about 26 cities across the country on Tuesday, 9th April, without any glitch on the first day. There are three more dates – 22nd, 23rd and 25th April – left for online version of the first ever nationwide Joint Engineering Entrance, that holds the key to prestigious engineering colleges like NITs and IITs.
The questions are reported to be moderately difficult, as such students on an average could solve 25-26 questions in each section of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 30 questions each.
The results are scheduled to be declared on May 7 and the next stage of the test, JEE (Advance), will be held on June 2. Only 1.5 lakh top scorers from JEE Mains will be able to appear in JEE (Advanced), the examination which shall be conducted by IITs. About 14 lakh students are appearing for JEE Mains according to an official statement.
JEE Mains is being conducted by CBSE and overall arrangement and format of the examination has left the students happy according to a report.
