Gujarat Technological University (GTU) has commenced a research project which aims at exploring changes in the educational structure of technical education for better administration and functioning.
The research project is titled ‘Design of the Structure of Technology Universities (DSTU)’. The research project, in the short-term, aims to develop a new educational structure for technical universities. Hence, all the new universities coming up can have an option instead of following the 150-year-old education system.
According to the reports, the structure is being designed to meet the needs of the 21st century and the global expectations from a technological university.
Though the project is launched by GTU, many other technological universities in India have shown interest in the research project.
