Now SC and OBC category students studying in class 1 through 12 at government schools in Haryana will be exempted from paying the examination fees from current academic year. The decision was taken by the Haryana Government in a review meeting of education department chaired by chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda at Chandigarh on Thursday.
On this occasion, the chief minister said Right to Education Act (RTE) is being implemented in an efficient manner in the state and the government is committed to provide free and compulsory education to children.
Hooda also directed the finance department to make necessary arrangements for compensating the Haryana School Education Board.
