SAARC-established South Asian University (SAU), Thursday, declared launched its PhD programs from the upcoming academic session, through an official announcement.
SAU President, G.K. Chadha said the research scholars would be inducted into the PhD programs through an entrance test followed by a personal interview.
Government of India has instituted South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation Silver Jubilee Scholarship especially for SAU students and the all the students applying for the PhD program are also eligible to apply for this scholarship. There are 25 scholarships, with maximum scholarship for research scholars carrying full fee waiver, free stay in the hostel, a monthly allowance of Rs.12,000 and a fixed start-up amount.
The South Asian University (SAU) started functioning from New Delhi, the national capital of India, since its inception in 2010. SAU was established by the governments of the eight SAARC nations.
